Update - July 5, 2022

There has been a change to our opening show. Rather than presenting “The Butler Did It”, we will be presenting “Sherlock’s Veiled Secret” by K.C. Brown. This show will be directed by Dale Kelly with production dates tentatively scheduled for Oct. 6 - 22, 2022.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Update - May 12, 2022

To our valued patrons and friends,

We are pleased to announce that we are planning a 2022/2023 season!

Over the next few months, we will be reviewing plays to bring the best possible season to The Bernie Legge Theatre in the fall. We can say that we will be opening our season with the show “The Butler Did It” by Tim Kelly followed by a family friendly musical at Christmas.

It takes nearly three months to prepare for a show, from the auditions to opening night and at  the time we would have had to plan for a June production, we still felt unsure about the Covid situation as the safety of patrons, cast and crew is paramount. Our goal is to provide great entertainment for patrons in an environment where they feel safe.

When we open we will have our health and safety protocols posted on our website and they will be available for patrons to print out, or read, when they are in the theatre. We will continue to adhere to all government regulations to ensure the wellness of our audience.

We all love theatre and want to welcome you back but in a safe manner!

For those season ticket holders who opted to keep a credit on their account for the previously cancelled shows, your account still reflects your credit of two shows and it will be applied when the tickets go on sale.

Lastly, we need your help! Vagabond Players is a non-profit community theatre and is entirely run by volunteers. We are always looking for new folks to get involved with our club. During our two year “intermission”, some of our fabulous volunteers have moved and are no longer able to participate. We need additional volunteers who can help, either behind the scenes, or in the front of house. No experience necessary… we’ll give you all the training you need! Shows require the work of many volunteers and take 2-3 months to prepare. So, if you have a few hours every couple of months, enjoy meeting new people and like theatre, Vagabond Players might be the perfect place for you to get involved. For information on volunteering, please contact us at volunteer@vagabondplayers.ca

Thank you to everyone who has previously assisted in our productions during the past 83 seasons!  We couldn't have done it without you!

We look forward to seeing everyone at The Bernie Legge Theatre in Queen’s Park, New Westminster in the fall!
