Christmas Belles

By Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope & Jamie Wooten

Directed by Dale Kelly

It’s Christmas-time in the small town of Fayro, Texas, and the Futrelle Sisters are in turmoil. One is overdue with her second set of twins, one is in jail, and one is desperately trying to keep the Tabernacle of the Lamb’s Christmas Program from spiraling into chaos. Add in family secrets, a love-struck sheriff, an Elvis impersonator and a variety of quirky characters, and the citizens of Fayro have a Christmas pageant they’ll never forget.

Directed by Dale Kelly, Christmas Belles stars Alexandra Wilson, Colleen Bignell and Colleen Byberg as the Futrelle sisters, with John Cousins playing Dub Dubberly, husband of Frankie and anxious father-to-be of the twins. Ray Boulay is John Curtis Buntner, the feisty sheriff who loves the ladies just as much as his coffee and donuts, and Alex Ross plays Justin Waverly, the beleaguered pastor of the Tabernacle of the Lamb. Kathleen Driscoll and Denise Brookson add to the fun as Patsy Price, know-it-all high-society matron, and Rhonda Lynn Lampley, the flashy manager of the Dairy Dog, while Cathe Busswood shines as Geneva Musgrave, the town gossip and crusty owner of the local flower shop. The fine cast also includes Heather English as Gina Jo Dubberly and Graham Martin playing Reynerd Chisum, the guileless part-time employee at the Dairy Dog, both making their debut with Vagabond Players.

Don’t miss this delightful production. It’s sure to be seasonal fun for the whole family!
